Field Service Engineer

Location: Indianapolis, IN

Department: Field Service

Type: Full Time

Min. Experience: Entry Level

RELOCATION ONLY!!! Positions available in Houston TX & St. Louis, MO

Traveling, meeting customers, hands-on troubleshooting, and working with a great team. We’re looking for people who think clearly, communicate effectively, and love seeing a project to completion. You’ll be traveling regionally and occasionally across the country, doing start-up and troubleshooting of lighting control systems. If the above sounds like you/interesting, and you have experience with electrical wiring, you’re on our short list already. If you’re lacking the experience part, but you are one of those people who has a knack for completing projects with excellence, and you are excited to jump into the lighting industry at ground level, keep reading! This is a terrific opportunity for someone looking for a fresh start in a new industry, or the next step after a completed apprenticeship.

What you will be doing

You will be completing projects with confidence and professionalism. Our Field Service Engineers speak with clarity, take responsibility for both their work and the work of others, address problems head-on, and most importantly allow the client to focus on their priorities while we focus on ours.

You will work hands on, in the field, ensuring systems are installed by others correctly and sensors and equipment are properly calibrated. You’ll do simple field programming and perform incredibly thorough testing. Once you’re proud of how well the system is operating, you’ll get to show it off while training the customer on how to use it.

A typical workday varies since our field team travels from their home to various project sites around the country. On Monday, a technician could be in Philadelphia, Tuesday – Wednesday in Washington, D.C., Thursday in Chicago, and Friday back in Philadelphia. Our workweek is Monday through Friday, although at times, technicians can volunteer to work on a weekend in return for a bonus.
